It is one of the most exciting events in the run up to any wedding, and certainly an experience that is hoped for years ago. In fact, a stag or hen is an essential part of planning the wedding – so it’s worth making an event to remember and appreciate it for real – both for the bride and groom to be, and all parties involved.
There are, of course, many ways to planning a stag or hen party. But a good place to start is with the ideas of what the bride or groom might like. If he or she is not great in parts, then planning a wild and crazy night in the city will not give them the kind of stag or hen do enjoy. Get all the responsible parties, along with a list of the activities of the bride and groom as you can, and proceed with its planning from there.
If you want to change part of the scene – or simply want to include a series of activities during a single weekend – you may want to consider a break from golf. Because of its accessibility and availability both in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe – in Hungary, Latvia and Poland – Golf is a popular activity for myself. Include it as a day of activity on a weekend getaway, or make that the focus of a single weekend. Either way, it’s fun and a great way for children to bond.
On the other hand, if you’re expecting a low key or class hen party, why not opt for a spa retreat? Breaks the spa to relax, rejuvenate, and pamper the bride-to-be, and all his friends. A spa retreat can also be paired with a shopping trip, a kind of yoga or Pilates, and a stop at the nail salon for a memorable experience for ladies day. And, as with golf trips, spa retreats can be planned as a one-day event or an extended getaway.
Another important activity – for stag and hen parties – is to go wine tasting. Interesting addition to visits to regional wineries and the chance to taste some exceptional wines, wine tasting can be associated with good food – whether in the vineyards themselves, in some restaurants – for a class and cultural stag do or hen.
Of course, no stag or hen party is complete without some costumes for the bride or groom-to-be, and the party participants. You can choose a theme for the party and dress accordingly, or just take a bit of fun for all the accessories in the game. If you decide to leave the city or have low key activities such as wine tasting, adult costumes adding to the mix is only one way to add more fun.
