Piet Mondrian is most famous for his abstract, contemporary compositions that at the time, were extremely innovative and revolutionary. This new artistic movement, which was an integral part, became known as Neo-plastic.
This abstract movement, and his use of strong horizontal lines with rectangles in bright primary colors, may have been his legacy, but not the only movement in which he was involved. E ’, in fact, was the culmination of his career, and represents the path that is gone as he struggled initially with other styles of art. More specifically, Mondrian enjoyed painting with nature as its subject and tried to develop their own style of post-impressionism, inspired by artists like Vincent Van Gogh While he achieved some success here he was not entirely pleased with his progress and so, like many other artists who preceded and followed his career, decided to seek a new path through experimentation with other methods.
After Flowers and Trees (gray and red) have been represented so people began to move toward a more casual style, in which he felt more at ease and more able to express his emotions in his art. Expectations, and the traditional rules of landscape and portrait painting was avoided in his one abstract style, which has allowed for flexibility, despite the seemingly simplistic paintings themselves, with a few lines, colors and shapes included in most compositions. The weather has grown then it started to introduce more complexity in his works and suddenly this new movement, as he could. This development as an artist humble creator of Neo-plastic has been completed by his painting Broadway Boogie Woogie, which is so far as he went with abstract art, offering an exciting medley of objects used to represent a view from above a manic New York City, complete with cabs trademark. Victory Boogie Woogie also followed a similar vein.
Mondrian’s career is a vision of excellence in the development of Neo-plastic composition with 10 and Red, Yellow and Blue Composition shows Piet first thoughts on an art movement that was later to move in different directions, even after his sad death. The best example of his thoughts as soon as this style was Composition with two lines, as the name suggests, is the simplest of his first abstract works. This work can now confuse the followers of amateur art that they see little ’imagination and skill in them, but those who study Mondrian correctly understand that the timing of his work is crucial as it brought a new style and way of thinking that the time was revolutionary!
